Privacy Policy for Block Sudoku

Effective date: 4 November 2026

Who we are

Block Sudoku is published by Alchemedia Group (“we”, “us”). Contact: duncan@alchemedia-group.com.

The short version

No account. Your progress stays on your device. The game shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects some information to show and measure ads, and you can limit this. Purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and we never see your payment details. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information stored on your device

The game saves your level progress, stars and best scores; how many lives you have and when the next returns; your sound, vibration and language settings; and whether you bought Block Sudoku Pro. This stays on your device and we cannot see it. It is deleted when you uninstall the game or clear its storage. Some devices include app data in a backup (Google or iCloud), controlled by your device settings.

2. Ads (Google AdMob)

The game contains ads from Google AdMob (Google LLC, or Google Ireland Limited in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK). When an ad is requested, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and send to Google: your device’s advertising identifier and other device identifiers, your IP address and the approximate location worked out from it, how you interact with ads and the game, and device, app, diagnostic and crash information. Google uses this to show and measure ads, prevent fraud and keep the ad service working. The game asks for ads suitable for a general audience (maximum content rating “PG”). We do not receive this information from Google.

Your choices. Where the law requires it (for example the EEA and UK), the game shows Google’s consent form the first time it starts, and you can accept or refuse personalised ads. If a privacy-choices option is available in your region it appears in Settings as “Ad privacy choices”, and you can change your answer at any time. On iPhone and iPad the game asks permission before using the advertising identifier; you can change this in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID and turn off ads personalisation in Settings > Google > Ads. The one-time Pro purchase removes the ads between levels. Watching a video for a life is always your choice. More on how Google handles ad data: policies.google.com/technologies/ads and policies.google.com/privacy.

3. Purchases

Purchases (Refill all lives, Block Sudoku Pro) are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their terms. We never receive your card or payment details. Your device is told that a purchase succeeded so the game can give you what you bought. Pro can be restored on a new install with the same store account.

4. What we do not do

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location. We do not sell your personal information or build profiles of you ourselves. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services of our own. (The store consoles give us anonymous crash and performance statistics collected by the store.)

5. Children

Block Sudoku is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where your country sets a higher age of digital consent). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has used the game in a way you did not want, contact duncan@alchemedia-group.com and, for ad data, use the device controls above.

6. How long information is kept

We hold no game data on any server, so there is nothing for us to retain. Data on your device stays until you delete the game or its storage. Data held by Google or Apple is kept under their own policies.

7. Where information goes

Ad-related data goes to Google, which may process it in other countries including the United States, using safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and the data privacy framework where required.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU GDPR, UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act) you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. We hold no personal data about you, so there is usually nothing to return or delete, but you can contact duncan@alchemedia-group.com with any request and we will answer within the time the law requires. For data held by Google for ads, use the controls above or myaccount.google.com. California: we do not sell personal information for money. Google’s ad technology may count as “sharing” for behavioural advertising; you can opt out by limiting ad personalisation in your device settings.

9. Security

The game runs no server of its own. Connections from the ads SDK and the stores use HTTPS. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date and, for significant changes, tell you in the game or on the store page.
